Real People Building Financial Futures

We started borellivoza because we noticed something missing in financial education — genuine connection between learning and doing. Our approach combines practical money skills with team building that actually works in the real world.

How We Got Started

Back in 2018, I was running corporate training sessions that felt... well, pretty lifeless. People would sit through presentations about budgeting and investment basics, nod politely, then go back to making the same financial mistakes.

That changed when Sarah from a Melbourne tech company asked me a simple question after a workshop: "This makes sense, but how do I actually get my team on board with these ideas?" She wasn't just talking about spreadsheets — she meant creating a culture where people felt comfortable discussing money and supporting each other's financial goals.

So we started experimenting. Instead of lecture-style sessions, we built workshops around real scenarios teams were facing. Instead of generic advice, we focused on practical tools that people could implement together. The results surprised everyone, including us.

What Drives Our Work

These aren't corporate values we printed on posters. They're principles that emerged from years of seeing what actually helps people succeed with money.

Practical Over Perfect

We've seen too many people get paralyzed trying to create the "perfect" budget or investment strategy. Our programs focus on systems that work with real lives — messy schedules, unexpected expenses, and all the curveballs that come with being human. Better to have a simple plan you actually follow than a complex one gathering dust.

Learning Together Works

Individual financial coaching helps, but there's something powerful about learning alongside colleagues who understand your workplace culture and industry challenges. When teams tackle financial skills together, they create support systems that last long after our workshops end. Plus, it's harder to skip that savings goal when your desk neighbor is cheering you on.

No Financial Judgment Zone

Everyone comes to financial education with different starting points, mistakes, and money stories. We've found that shame is the enemy of progress. Our sessions create space for honest conversations about financial challenges without the usual judgment or pressure. Some of our best breakthroughs happen when someone admits they've been avoiding their superannuation statements for two years.

The People Behind borellivoza

We're a small team with diverse backgrounds in finance, education, and psychology. What brings us together is genuine curiosity about why smart people sometimes make questionable money decisions — and how to change that.
